I am Dickens Otieno, grew up in Kisumu County where I attained both primary and secondary certificates. After my fourth year exams, I joined in a college to specialize in mechanics (motorcycle). In three years times I was done with the course despite the challenges I faced during the college period. Out from my course I started working for a friend who had been in the field for almost decade. I had my all I needed to prosper. The experience I had that made everything count even how to handle customers. I realized my aptitude could do something bigger. After two years I put up my small garage where some challenges came my way but I could see was success ahead. Nowadays my business is stable which make me enjoy myself when watching football, making new friends and swimming.
Throughout my life I had interest in engines and how to operate them more so motorbikes. The current business in Nairobi is that one of motorbike which makes it demanding for repairing and even purchasing spare parts. It happened that I landed on the right kind of business where I always build customer trust in the market. At my garage, we offer free service or changing of oil when you buy from my shop. We don’t charge on quoting the defaults in the machinery. We also give discount when you buy some little spares when you buy and fix them in the garage. Normally, my income depends on the customers’ frequency but in a day there is always something to put in the pocket. My main business is on repairing and at times the lubricants. As at the end of the month I always have at least $550.00 after paying other four employees and all liabilities. I do plan to expand my garage for some spare parts to make my customers not go to any other place to look for spares. This would just make every plan be what has been a conundrum to me. Besides expanding my business I always pay for my younger sister school fee and provide bit of help to my parents
Zidisha caught my attention since I saw some light somewhere ahead. This is what could accomplish my dream and complement me on the expansion of the garage. I will expand my premises for the purchase of the spares if I get the loan. Getting the loan will make me employ some guys to assist me on selling. My customers will not look for any other place to buy spares parts since I will have all they want and discount. This would just make every plan be what has been a conundrum. On having this loan, am certain that my profits will increase at least by 30%. This is due to the large market in Nairobi. I should get supported because this will make some improvement and even make my friends to have this loan help them in any way.
Spare parts to begin with, rims, tyres, shocks, sprocket, brake lining, clutch etc.
