About Me

Adjei Mensa is my name. I come from Ampenkro, a village near Drobo in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana. My parents were peasant farmers who divorced when I was three years. It has been a miracle for my upbringing as a result of a relatively large family (seven siblings) and divorced parents. I had to start fending for myself from a tender age. I completed teacher training college and subsequently the university through the assistance of a good Samaritan. I therefore want to help my younger siblings as well as my nephews and nieces to continue their education and cater for my old mother. My community is a poor one so I intend creating an educational fund through the assistance of benevolent societies to cater for the needy.

My Business

I owe a provision and cold store in a small community called Menji in the Tain district of Ghana. Most of the town folk had to preciously travel about 10 kilometers to have access to meat and other valuable vegetables. I therefore created a cold store to sell fish and frozen chicken for consumption. This has eased the burden on the townsfolk from travelling for these products. I have recently added soft drinks and items for sale. Efforts are being made to purchase an extra refrigerator to make up for the increasing demand for my products.

Loan Proposal

The loan I secure would be used to increase my stock of frozen poultry and fish for consumption. I intend adding frozen pig feet and beef to my stock. I also want to increase my stock since my market size has doubled within the past two months.
