About Me

I would like to start by thanking the zidisha team for their tireless and daring efforts in ensuring that average businesses are able to access unsecured online loans for their benefit. I now can take it as a great opportunity for me to expand my small business salon business. I am situated in keroka, a town approximately 21 km en route kisii town. I pursued a course in hair and beauty therapy under ST ANNS COLLEGE in the year 2009 after which I decided to venture into business to carter for my family especially in helping my parents pay college fee for my two younger siblings in university. It has been my fourth straight year now running my salon branded as OSGOD HAIRDESIGNS opposite kisii university keroka . where each day finds me busy attending to my customers. Over time, the number of my clients has been on an increase a thing that has made me to hire assistant staff to help me in serving my clients. With the new trends in fashion and hair design, I have always been up to date in adjusting to tailor my customer needs. Our strategic location in the town center, near the municipal market to be precise has seen us very busy on weekdays.

My Business

I run a small salon where I have employed two assistants whom I pay on a weekly basis. We currently offer a variety of services to our clients including perm, braiding, weaving, washouts, drying, dying and chemical curl kits. There has always been a recorded demand for these services My business receives a huge of regular and prospective customers due to its location in town with colleges. In good month I can make up to 35000 from which I pay 5000 each to my employees and remain with around 25000, I deduct rent 6000 and miscellaneous 2000. So a good month i can make like 16000 . pay myself 10000 and the business remains with a profit of around 5000.This loan will help me add a cosmetic shop next to the business as the two shops available sells at a very high price compared from the price in kisii a nearby town. This loan will enable me get most of the products from Nairobi at cheaper price and resell at considerable price to make good profit. Also I will add two blow driers because the two available sometime breaks down hindering my business. The risks mostly are power blackouts which at most times blows some salon equipments. From the profits I will be able to repay the loan.

Loan Proposal

This loan will help me venture further to cosmetic business within my current business premises as this would smoothly go hand in hand with my salon business. I intend to buy these products at relatively cheaper prices from Nairobi from where I can transfer them to my business here in keroka. Notably, I have been receiving a lot of customer enquiries on whether I do sell cosmetic products like facials, sunscreen, body lotions, nail enamels and eye shadows. My current promising relationship with my clients will definitely help me achieve success.
