my name is Joseph but many people around call me jose. I was born and raised in Eldoret town, i went to Kapsoya Primary school up to 8 and later on joined Uasingishu High school for secondary education. i was unable to proceed with higher education because i was raised by humble parents who enagaged in casul works. my father was a matatu driver and my mother a house wife.
I was therefore left with no other choise other than enage in something constructive to make a living, we had a very big land which was idle and i thought of doing farming to earn a living. I started selling seedlings and young trees, i nurtured them and then sold them at the streets in Eldoret town. This has been my business for the last four months. The most unique thing about our land is the fact that it favous farming so much and this thus increases the yields that i get.
i am a farmer engaging in planting and selling of seedlings and young trees. I nurtur them at the nursery and then when ready for sale, i take them to them market places. I also take orders from people because i engage in selling quite a variety.
This goods are useful because they help me earn a living, they attract rainfall, and also when fully grown the bring good breeze in our compounds. It is also on demand because i sell variety of trees and thus thefore make many people come to my place to look for what they want.
i chose this business because the market for the trees was highly available and also the space for doing this business was also available. i recently started this business and thefore large part of my profits goes to the growth of this business and also maintenace of my living in town.
Granted the 100 us dollars. i will use these loan to lease a piece of land for a period of one year where i can extend my farming practice to. Recently, i have witnessed increase in demand for my seedlings and therefore i wish to expand my farm so that i can serve all my customers conveniently. I will use the loan as follows
lease a piece of land @ 40 us dollars for one year
buy new seedlings @ 40 us dollars
till the land @ 10 us dollars
buy polythene bags for storing the seedlings @ 10 us dollars
I will benefit from these by increase my income and thus financially becoming stable. I expect a 60 us dollar income raise.
