About Me

My name is Jesse Wainaina and I am the 1st born in a family 4. My parents are farmers and they live in Kiambu County and I live in Githurai 45 Progressive. I have a diploma in business management. After long such for a formal job I have decided to venture into the Apron making business. In this I target market women, hardware, posho mills and hotel people who wear this protective cloths. The small business has assisted me in taking care of my upkeep and my siblings. I am innovative and ready to look beyond employment. I also believe in my self that the apron making idea will be successful and there is a ready market especially in the markets, hotels and supermarkets. Women and business people prefer to wear this apron as it protects them from dirt and it also offer a safe place to put their money.

My Business

I'm seeking Zidisha Organization to lend me money so that I can expand my apron making business and also create job opportunities for other people. I am also looking forward to pursuing a certificate in entrepreneurship that will help me o offer quality services to my customers. I hope the business will sustain its bills which include electricity, water and my rented house. I would wish to expand my business to be able to meet the customers demand and also help my young siblings to raise money for their school fees. I humbly thank you Zidisha Organization and all the Lenders. God bless you

Loan Proposal

Upon receiving this fund I will use 212 $ USD (Ksh 18,000)to purchase 10 different color apron materials. These materials will range from red, brown, orange and green. These are the commonly preferred materials by mothers who work in open air markets. Each material (Fabric ) is able to produce 13 aprons which will retail 3$ USD (Ksh 250)depending on the market making a total of 390 $USD (Ksh 33 150) per month. The money will be put back to the business.Out of the money received I will use 61 $USD (Ksh 5185) to purchase accessories like ribbon laces, big and small zips and buttons this will make the aprons more attractive. The remaining 24$USD(Ksh 2,000) will purchase one electric motor to be fitted in one of my machine to speed up the apron making process. This will increase production by 20%. I look forward for a positive response from Zidisaha Team.God bless you

About Me

My name is Jesse Wainaina. Am the 1st born in a family 4. My parents are farmers. and they live in Kiambu County and i live in Githurai 45 Progressive.I have a diploma in business management. After long such for a formal job i have decide to venture in business my first business which was funded by Zidisha Family was on Apron making. This Business was successful and has made me venture in my new project of Day care services to children below 5 years. The business is targeting women who live in the urban areas where they have less time to care for their children due to the work pressure. Most of the urban women have employed house girls to take care of their children when they are at work. This is quite challenging since the house girl can decide to leave the house at anytime making the mother stranded because she has to go to work. Many mothers have complained theft in their house .With the day care service mothers will live their children in a safe, child friendly environment without fear of theft at their home. This will be convenient because they will also not have extra cost on the house girl expenses. Parents will pay a small fee of Ksh 200 per day for the services.I am targeting to get 30 children and this will translate to ksh 6000 per day. This money will help me hire 2 trained Early Childhood teacher who will engage children with learning and play during the day i have a great passion of working with children. I believe that every parent want to get the best of his or her child in the key stage years of Early Childhood. This is considered the cornerstone to any education. I look upon Zidisha team to support my idea as i impact knowledge and skills to the young ones.
On a part time i also volunteer in a rehabilitation center that cater children with disabilities. The center offers physiotherapy and occupation therapy to children with special needs. In this program i meet and interact with parents where i offer counselling services to parents with regular visits to their home to encourage them raise their children.

My Business

Hi Zidisha family, I am looking forward for the organization to lend me money to expand my apron making business. The aprons are commonly used by women in the market place and they are currently in high demand because they protect their clothes from getting stains that come from peeling the fruits and making juice. The aprons also have a side pocket and also one attached on the inside to safely secure the money that these women get from petty thieves. I recently managed to get an order for around 300 aprons that I am required to supply to 10 different women groups which I expect to bring a profit of about US$ 200. I will therefore need a loan of about US$ 300 which I will use to purchase 20 fabrics along with accessories such as; ribbons, threads and laces which all totals up to about US$ 400. I have managed to save US$ 100 which will help cover the additional cost. From my earnings, I plan to repay my Zidisha Loan, support my family to pay college fee for my sister who joined Zetech University early last year. Thank you so much lenders for your support as not only have I been able to help my business stand to where it is now but also helped my sister finish high school as well. I am looking forward to your positive response. God Bless the Zidisha Team. Amen.

    To Zidisha family,

I am still on made Ksh 1500 deposit in one week. I hope that everything will be well. The "Rona" times things are thick. But we will make it. I encourage members to take heart. Don't lose your vision. Replan, Adjust, and restructure do them all but stay focused. Martin Luther once said, "If you can't fly then run if you can't run then walk if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”

Let's be positive and good luck.

      Hello Jesse,
I understand using this type of "service" (borrowing money, internet, etc.) is very new for so many borrowers...It is for that reason, I am trying to give feedback.

With regard to the link: I was just trying to give you an option. that would be using the forum, you would need to regaister, as would the person you wish to communicate with...No need to worry about it.
With regard to the photos, I have noticed that you have many other photos, but it is not likely lenders will look at those.... Try deleting the ones, which are not in focus, and only show furniture.

    Hello Jesse,
I thought I would give you some details, on how I understand this comments page to work....

When you send a message via this discussion page, *all* your current lenders, and those that have requested to receive posts from you get the message.... I notice that you have sent, what seems to be the same message about your aprons, five times. Each of your lenders will get each of these messages. This is more work for you, and not so much fun for them.

    May I suggest:
    - you address the message "Dear lenders",
    - If you message is to a specific individual, adress the message to that individual, "Dear mepster", for example....This will be open for others to read, but Mepster will knowit is for him.
    - If you want to send a private message, ask for the name they use on the forum, send it using the private message facility there. forum.zidisha.org/conversat...

It would be great if some of your lenders could comment on their experience. Am I correct when I say this?

    Good luck.
