About Me

I am very determined lady with dreams of becoming a big entrepreneur through investments. I was born and raised in Githurai 45 area of Nairobi Kenya.I came from a very humble background of 3 where i am the last born. I hold a degree in Law acquired from the university of Nairobi.

My parents gave investment a shot where they had very great dreams to thrive in business, however, it did not work out and they lost all their retirement money. From thap point we sraterd struggling to go through school and many times I and my siblings had to help them sell goods in a kiosk to get money for high school and our essentials. I performed well in school got a place in a leading University to pursue a law degree which I completed in December 2014 after very much struggle.

I then got married and started a business with my husband however, everything scrambles and I was left with nothing but my child. I had to move back to my parents home since I had put everything I had in the business which was pegged on the marriage surviving thus rendering me jobless and a bad person for standing up for my place as a woman in Africa.

I decided to rise up as my son is my driving factor and I would never want him to lack anything. I started a law practice since there is a gap in the legal services offered and took a leap of faith and I believe that I will work out and I will fulfill my dream of becoming a young enterpreneuer and thrive. I also want to show my son that falling does not mean quiting. We rise and try again.

I like DIYs and networking while on social media.

I always take care of money no-matter how small.

My Business

I have started a law practice in September where I aim at improving the quality of legal services in my area and this is dedicated in reaching the community in accessing justice. We offer all legal services including litigation, drafting contracts, conveyancing, etc.

I have managed to purchase the basic minimum so that I can comfortable attend to a client and serve them well.

The business has gotten a great start as I have already gotten a great client base and they are increasing by the day. The challenge is, the equipment now is limiting because for example I only have 2 seats for clients meaning that any extra person has to remain standing during the service. I therefore need to add 4 seats which costs Ksh 20,000/= at Ksh 5,000/= each. Also, the office needs partitioning and painting as there is need to have a registry for storing files and a kitchen. Currently the files are piled up on my desk. this will cost Ksh 20,000/=.

I have also noticed that there is need for more branding by adding a signage in my floor and outside the building due to competition from other businesses. The cost for this is Ksh 6,000/= for both.

The business makes an income of about Ksh 80,000/= per month which of course flactuates. After payment of the expenses, the profit is Ksh 45,000/= which I plough back to the business to break even.

I believe that every person deserves a chance and support to reach their business potential.

Loan Proposal

With the funding, I will purchase 500 bottles of assorted beers and wines which will cost approximately 60 dollars and with the balance of 29 dollars I will buy metal rods for the burglar bar and pay for the labor.

This will reap profits on my part which will aid in running my onion farm and building greenhouses for the same farm. This create revenue to Kiambu county where my business is located through tax.

I project that the net profit from the shop will increase by a margin of 30% from 10% as when the stock increased, my operating costs decrease on a big margin.

Hi, the farming business was a success and I managed to irrigate the farm and the produce was great which I used to open my wines and spirits shop which with your help I was able to add stock to the shop and it is doing very well. I also paid part of my tuition fee from the profits from the farming business.
    Thank you for your support.

The onion irrigation project was a success. I got good proceeds from the same farm and this raised funding to start my wines and spirits shop which I want to expand.

The heavy rains experienced in the recent pasts and continous flooding in our area has affected business and destruction of assets. As a result returns have been very low and thus making it difficult to repay the loan on time. however I believe I will manage to repay this amount.

    Hello lenders

I have been working on the business though the changes in climate has been a big hurdle but I trust that that business will resume to normal as we enter the rainy season.

    Thank you

The business has been low due to the continued drought and as a result low yield, this has compelled me to opt for low installment.

As soon as the business resume to normal I will increase my installment rates.

    Thank you
