I learnt accountability at an early age, by about 8 years of age, i could already take care of my siblings, clean our home and follow my mother to the market on the weekends to help with selling second hand clothes. I currently am awaiting graduation in july 2017, bachelor of commerce, finance major at Egerton University Nairobi city campus.
When faced with hardship, i do not question God, i go down to my knees and pray harder knowing that God has a purpose for everything and that His time is the best.
From way back in highschool, (about 5years ago) i used to sell clothes to my schoolmates to make my pocket money. Employment was not really my thing,So i chose what i love to do,clothing business.
My culture is known for its kindness and respect towards all human race, we believe in unity and team work.
My children can take whatever career path of their choice and i wil be behind them all the way. I would also like to introduce them to the business world early enough.
I pass my time on the internet looking up for new ideas and current affairs.
I am in the clothing industry, i design clothes for my clients, i have a couple of tailors who help me with stitching. I do weddings ( gowns and maids attires), hospitals (doctors and nurse attires), cleaning agencies and security uniforms as well as school uniforms.
My goods are usually on demand because my clients grow daily, as they get new employees, i get new orders. Weddings are also a good deal since there is always a wedding almost every weekend.
Fashion and design has always been part of me from my early years. So how cool it is doing something i love to do as a job! Oh and it also has good margins.
My typical costs is about 1000$ and revenue is like 50%-100% of capital depending on client at hand.
I use my profit to re-invest amd grow this venture as i have longterm goals, like right now i'm looking in to wholesale store for diapers and homecare products. I save part of the profit to my fixed account since my child is not yet a school going. But will join school next year by september. I also like to reward myself a little
I need to buy more electric sewing machines @800$ each and stock fabric of about 200$ for my clothing store.
This means that one more employee (tailor) will join us creating employment here. I will also see increased revenue.
I expecty profit to increase by like 20%
