About Me

Am Samuel Njoroge, born 29 ago years ago. I live at Maaimahiu along the Naivasha - Nairobi route at the Samax intersection. My house is next to the Maaimahiu presbyterian church of East Africa. The building is known as Kahinga building, a wall stoned building. I went to Nyakinyua primary school and later joined Karima Secondary school. Due to lack of fees I could not proceed to college.

My Business

I started my business five years ago. I run a video show where members of the public get to watch the latest movies and soccer matches at a fee. I have a small room, a tv, a few benches a dstv decoder. I added a few chairs and power extntion cables. The flow of customers has increased. I chose this business because there was a gap in the provision of entertainment industry. In a typical off peak day I make 2dollars per day but during the weekend I make about 5 dollars on Saturday and Sunday respectively. I pay a rent of 700 dollars. I use the money I make for my daily upkeep and at least save some for the future.

Loan Proposal

If advanced the facility, I will use it together with my savings to give my video hall some facelift. I will make the benches comfortable because for now they are all bare and it is uncomfortable to sit on them for hours. A little of painting will also go a long way in making the place look neat. In the long run, I dream to have a wide screen for customers better viewing and an uninterrupted power supply to cushion us from frequent power blackouts which damage machines.

I would like to confirm that I received KES 18,828 as my second loan which I bought two powerful speakers for my movie theater. Secondly I would like to convey my sincere gratitude to my lenders for making this happen. I can tell you for sure my income has taken a notch higher due to the loud sound from the speakers thus more customers.

I would like to thank zidisha and my lenders. The loan funded will help me to equipt my video hall with speaker system which improve the sound thus attract more customers because they will hear it from a distance. Am also expecting a high income due to the improvement. May God bless you abundantly

With my first loan, I bought 7 chairs for 70 dollars. With the remainder I bought power extensions and power cables for 9 dollars. Armed with the itemd I fixed my business. My customer base increased a bit and I was able to achieve customer satisfaction. Thanks to you for putting a smile on my face.

Hi Zidisha Lenders, apologies for the late comments. First I would like to thank all the lenders and Zidisha fraternity at large. I purchased 10 seats for my video hall and the remainder I bought some electronics which were already worn out. i.e. power extensions and some cables. with the new plastic seats, my customers can now watch movies and football matches one after the other unlike before where they complained alot about the wooden seats. Apparently my earning has increased and am looking forward for the next loan after completion of the current one in which I will borrow and add my savings to purchase a wide screen and some more necessities. Long live Zidisha, May God bless you abundantly.
