About Me

I was born in teso disrict in western kenya at place called malaba.I grew up and went to school in Asenge primary and kolanya girls respectively. I am married in kakamega county with 2 children Esther and Daniel.
My husband lost his job when we had just stayed for three months. we searched for jobs but we didnt get.these is when i decided to try my hand in farming .i started planting traditional african vegetables but since i was relaying on rain,I always took my produce the market when it was flooded and sold my produce at low prices.despite the hard ship I did not give up.I always tried ,i soon noted the market trends and started irrigating my farm so as to produce more during dry season.
My children are still young, they are aged 2 and 4. I am working hard to give them a better life.
I like singing a lot and always join other choir members to singing for my church. I also like serving other people in the community more so those that are physically challenged. I am looking forward to join college to study special education to help them more.

My Business

I usualy grow traditional african vegetables on my 3/4 acre piece of land. I irrigate my farm so that I am able to supply all seasons and get premium prices for my vegetables.
I choose traditional african vegetables because they are disease resistant, take short time to mature and fetch good prices in the market.
I spend $100 a month buying seeds, manure and labor for the farm. In a good month I make an average of $240. I use the money to pay take care of my family needs and save for my college fees.

Loan Proposal

Dear sir /madam
I am requesting for another loan to enable me to expand my farm and grow tomatoes. I recently did soil tests in half an acre piece of land and found it was suitable for tomato planting. I would use $100 to pay for the land lease for a period of two years and $100 for seeds and land preparation. I expect my revenues to increase significantly due to these new business line.thank you
