About Me

I am Rebecca Khaemba,i am married with 3 children. I went to musingu primary school and later joined Musoli girls secondary school for my secondary education .after secondary education I could not proceed with my education due to lack of money for fees.
I got married at a very tender age and since my husband was a university students with no income at that time ,I had to work extra hard to cater for our needs. These is when I decided to start growing vegetables to support me. I did not know vegetable farming was very beneficial, I expanded my farm , I now grow assorted high value vegetables such as kale's,cabbages, tomatoes and leafy traditional African vegetables in 3/4 an acre farm .
My children john,Edward and Tracy are 6,4,2 years respectively, John and Edward both want to be doctors ,while Tracy is still very young to say what she wants to be.
my hobbies include meeting new people,making new friends and guiding and counseling young women .I am also a choir member in my church and sing a lot.Thank you.

My Business

I am a small scale farmer with 3/4 acres under vegetables with plans to expand the farm to 3 acres and also start poultry farming. . I provide vegetables for my customers who include schools,hospital and households.
The demand is high due to high population and low production due to land subdivision and soils exhaustion as well as unfavorable climate.
I choose farming business because it required less capital and market for produce was also readily available.
My monthly typical costs are $200 and my monthly revenues are $450 on average.
I use the profits on farm expansion,paying fees for my children and niece,saving for reinvestment and expansion, and improving my home through construction of a house.
