About Me

My name is Alex Mwaki. I am a recent graduate of Multimedia University of Kenya. After highschool, my parents couldn't not afford paying university education. I was determined to earn a degree someday.
I left the village to Nairobi where a friend of mine hosted me. I began hawking blended juice during the day and coffee in the evenings to Bodaboda operators. Later, I got a stand where I started making street food. I joined campus, and graduated in Dec 2022 with first class honours. I have received a scholarship from Polish government where I will be pursuing a master's degree in physics.
The small business of selling street food helped me pay school fees.
I am raising a project to help me book a flight for Visa application purposes as I continue with the admission process

My Business

I have a stand where I make Chapati, mandazi and other street foods. I buy 8kgs of wheat flour per day, 5kgs of sugar, 2 crates of eggs and other ingredients. I make approximately 3000 kenya shillings in profits per day.

Project Proposal

I will use the funds to lease a small plot of land. This plot has connected water so it is ideal for irrigation. I am planning to plant onions
