About Me

I am Evaline Cheruiyot, married with 4 children. I was born in Rongai sub county, Nakuru county. I went through my schooling upto O levels. I was lucky enough to do my diploma in Community studies where my uncles sponsored me through that course. My parents were unable since my other siblings were still in primary and secondary school.
After my college i engaged myself in some small farming where I used to hire a number of farms and that is where I came to have passion on farming. After I got married my husband was also a good business man who supported my farming.
currently, my first born daughter is in Form 2 and the rest are still in primary. My girl has a vision of becoming an engineer and that is her dream. I want to support her education with all means so that she can achieve it.

My Business

I am an employee at an organization called ROSEWA which deals with table banking system. I normally train women on how to save their money, prudence use of loan and how to repay the same. I also train them on favourable and good projects depending on their residential areas.
This has also helped me to invest on farming where I plant vegetables, maize and beans. I also do some dairy farming but I am not engaged in it.
With the salary I earn from my job, I usually reinvest in my farm. The profits earned from my farm are used to pay for my children's school fees.
With the loan I will get I plan to buy fertilizer and certified seeds for my farm. 50kg fertilizer goes for Ksh. 3, 400, while certified maize goes for ksh. 1800 (10kg).

Loan Proposal

I will use the money to buy 2 sacks (50kg) @ ksh.3400 and 2x10kg @ 1800 = ksh. 10600. If all goes well with rain I expect to harvest more than 60 bags of maize. Market price during harvest is normally Ksh. 2000 = 120,000 - expenses(40,000) = ksh. 80,000 apart from the beans which I normally plant with maize.
