About Me

I'm job born and also raised in Mtwapa, Mombasa Kenya. I am a young, ambitious and goal-oriented man. I am in a relationship, looking forward to marry my precious girlfriend in May, 2016. I hail from a great, humble and stable family of ten, among whom we're just seven today. This was after the passing away of both my parents as well as my older brother, that is, the first-born in our family. I'm the second-born. My parents passed away while I was joining college, and luckily, I was able to complete my undergraduate studies with the money my parents left behind as inheritance.

I pursued a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, before specializing in range management later. I got an internship with the Pest Control Products Board of Keyna (PCP) in 2008. I got a job officially after three months in PCP, where I worked for four years. I later decided to launch my own pest control company, naming it "The Ultimate Rural Pest Control". I made use of most of my savings to make this possible. There were quite a number of challenges at the onset of this business, but we've been able to overcome most of them, which has in turn pushed us till date.

I spend most of my free time playing tennis or badminton in a sports club which is located in a nearby town to my residence. I also love spending time with professionals in this field who enlighten me more, giving me valuable ideas. This enables me to learn more an

My Business

Ultimate Rural Pest Control (URPC) is a freelance firm, specially launched and developed to educate people on pest control, as well as providing pest control services in their homes and farms. For so long now, pests have always been a daunting challenge to home/property owners and farmers. Most people have incurred lots of losses due to pest infestation. Some are living in unhealthy homes due to pest infestation. As a result of the high demand of solutions to the same, I deemed it best to choose the freelance route and avail these solutions in hardly accessible areas. We also provide the same in schools, hospitals, and other kinds of institutions.

We encountered so many challenges at the start of the business, including the unavailability of clients, people being unaware of the firm, and high start-up costs. We've been able to overcome most of these challenges, and we are now a well-known and established firm. We've gained remarkable reputation in the areas we've provided our services in.

My small-scale business has been providing me with a healthy income. The amount we charge our clients depend mostly on their specific needs and preferences. the area being covered, the time to be used, as well as the equipment to be used. I have three workers, whom assist me with some of the tasks. I pay each one of them $160 per month. Other expenses, including maintenance, operational and transport costs, sum up to approximately $100 per month. I make a steady income of $800-900 per month, which leaves me with almost $250 once the expenses are deducted.

I use my earnings to support my younger siblings, pay for rent, and meet my other basic needs.

Loan Proposal

Since the launch of my firm,we've been fairing a bit well. However, we've encountered some few setbacks, the major one being the lack of needed equipment. Once Zidisha deducts its first time registration charges, I will receive approximately $21. I will then add some $130 more to have a total $150. I will use this cash to purchase necessary equipment, including formers, bait guns, vacuums, safety equipment and fogging equipment. This will cost approximately $150. Once I have all these equipment, the firm will be in a better position and well established. The firm will start growing rapidly, satisfying all our clients' needs. I will use the profits earned to pay this loan on a weekly basis.
I would like to take this opportunity to humbly thank all my lenders, and Zidisha for availing this great chance. I also welcome any ideas you might have on how I can develop my firm. I am much grateful, and look forward to having a considerably great relationship with all of you. Thank you.
