About Me

My name is Beth Moni. I come from Karatina. I am a single mother of two boys aged 4 and 2 years respectively. Currently, I am a volunteer teacher as I complete my undergraduate in April this year. I have what people describe as a 'green thumb'. I am very good at agriculture and I wish to exploit it by planting colored capsicums and tomatoes. The earnings will go to supporting my young family and pay for my pursuit of further education. Furthermore, the earnings will enable me to purchase a piece of land so that I do not have to rely on leased land for my agricultural pursuits plus I will get a roof over my head.

My Business

This is a personal business. The business is based on agricultural pursuits. I want to plant colored capsicums and tomatoes. This will ensure that I am able to harvest food that currently is undergoing a shortage in towns. I plan to adopt the use of organic farming practices with minimal use of fertilizers thus giving me a competitive edge. The pursuit is profitable with profit margins of between 12 - 20%. The monthly cost of the business is Kshs. 15000. Being a three month pursuit, the horticulture crops will ensure constant income from the third month. I earn a small salary from a small business of content writing for a local website. The earnings are between Ksh 3000-5000 a month. The earning will go into paying the Zidisha loan.

The lenders should help me by facilitating my loan as it will work in establishing a constant supply of cash adequate for taking care of my young family and boys.
