About Me

My name is Patrick Mukanzi from Amalemba village Kakamega.I attended musingu primary for my primary certificate and later(2000)joined kakamega high for my secondary certificate.i later joined and completed my deploma course in business management at jomo kenyatta university of agriculture and technology.I was employed as a business mentor in Village Enterprise(NGO based in kakamega) from 2010-2014.My role was to train business owners, monitor their businesses ,collect and submit weekly reports and data collection.
I am am currently involved in self employment(agribusiness).I grow and sell vegetables which include kales, capsicum, and pepper.Business is my main source of income.I have also begun livestock business(piggery) .

I like playing soccer during my leisure

My Business

My weekly average sales in vegetables -$300.I sell my products to schools and to suppliers in kakamega town. There is little competition since i offer the best products.
Demand for vegetable products is high in this region since many farmers only grow vegetables for domestic use and not commercial.
Risks encountered include:weather changes and perish-ability.

Loan Proposal

My area experience a dry spell in the months of January ,February and march.I use the opportunity to carry out irrigation on my horticultural farm where i grow kales, tomatoes and onions .Due to expanding my production land i am unable to water/irrigate some far parts of the land as a result of shorter horse -pipes to connect on my money-maker pump.If it happens that i get the funding from zidisha, i would quickly use the amount to purchase pipes to enable me water my crops without struggling .This will ensure production even during the coming dry season.

I take this kind opportunity to say thanks to my lenders of the previous loan.Through the amount,i was able to increase my horticultural (kales) production leading to increased profits.I met 60% of the demand compared to the previous 20%. I was able to provide only two meals(breakfast and supper) for my family but now my family gets three meals in a day due to increment of my profits .Thanks to Zidisha.Am looking forward to cooperate with zidisha in order to continue benefiting from their online lending. Thanks zidisha and all partners.Live long
