About Me
my name Seth Boateng. I am 28 years old. I am in a family of six. My mother, father, myself and three siblings. Three ladies and myself.
I started schooling at Kato R/C Basic School, continued at Berekum secondary school, completed and continued at Berekum College of education and now a student at Valley View University-Ghana.
I am working under Ghana Education Service as a teacher and also in a sole proprietorship as farming. I developed an interest in farming when I was about to complete my college of education and doing my service. I started my own farming in 2011 with a capital of about $800 with a worker who is being paid monthly
My Business
I started my poultry farm in the year 2011, with a based capital of about 800 dollars. I was able to raise an apartment structure with a little over 500 birds. I entered into poultry farm due to my great passion for poultry farming. After a careful study of the market in Berekum, I realized that poultry and poultry products were of great demand and only few people had entered into poultry production.
I arranged with school which I supply eggs to. Today I have well of 3000 birds and a structure of four apartment. Am able to employ an assistance who helps in the farm. I estimate about 100 dollars to buy additional feeds for my birds.
REPAYMENT
I will be able to repay any loan offered me from the sale of my birds and eggs.
Loan Proposal
When granted the loan, I will use $60 to purchase chicken feeds such as layers mash and broilers mash in order to boost the quality of the chicken. I will also use $30 to expand the chicken structure so that they have a conducive environment for increasing their population. I will also use $10 to purchase medicinal drugs to coccidiosis control in my farm since most of them are usually affected by frequent poultry diseases. This investment will really help me reduce the rate at which the chickens die and increase productivity. This will benefit me so much since the business will not be interfered by lack of the above mentioned issues and this will enable the business to run smoothly. Thanks in advance
