About Me

Am Ebenezer Anyane. I was born and breed in Suhum a town in the Eastern region of Ghana. I schooled at Suhum New town Primary and JSS. I had my secondary education at Suhum Secondary Technical School, Suhum in the year 2009. After school I did small trading and farming. Now I am working as a shop attendant in an Agrochemical shop in Suhum. I work four days in a week. i have worked at the shop for about three years now. I applied and was admitted to the university of Cape Coast in 2014 to read the program Diploma in Psychology and Foundations of Education . I attend lectures on weekends and use the other free days to do farming. I am now cultivating cabbage. I have cultivated carrot, cucumber, lettuce, maize, Cassava and other crops grown in ghana here.

My Business

I do my own business. I grow cabbage, carrot, maize, cucumber and other cash crops on a large scale and sell the when they mature. The size of my farm depend on the land I get, the fund available for purchasing fertilizers, seeds, pay some labourers and other cost. Due to health benefits of vegetables, demand on vegetables have now increased. Request for vegetables from Restaurants, catering and food vendors, schools, and retailers have greatly increased. Maize, and cassava are staple foods in Ghana. It is being used in every home in this country of ours because they are cheap and can be found everywhere in Ghana. Increase in production will help sustain people who depend on this as source of food.
When we were kids, we go to the farm with our mother to farm and since that I have being farming to support me pay my fees and do other things.

Loan Proposal

I am a Cabbage farmer who wants to undertake a project of two acres land piece of cabbage. With the loan, I'll buy three hundred grams (300g) of cabbage seed at one hundred and fifty dollars, I'll buy ten bags of NPK fertilizers at thirty dollars per 50kg bag. I'll also buy thirty litres of insecticides at ten dollars per litre. I already have some money for hiring of labour. This is what I got from my previous loan. I expect to employ more people and also expand my farm after this project. I hope my loan will be funded. Thank you.
