About Me

I come from the Rift Valley province, Laikipia county here in Kenya. I finished my form four in 2004 and joined a public university in 2006-2010. And am now freshly training for a job in building services and design. I earn a steady income of Ksh 30000 per month gross pay. Minus rent, bus fare and other expenditures this does not amount to much as well as for the future ahead.

My Business

During school breaks and holidays I used to utilise my parents 2 acres of land by planting a perimeter of cypress trees. Now they are quite big and I was able to push my parents to put a side a 1/4 acre part which I filled with the trees. I own more than 1000 tree on the farm now. Hard to calculate but with closure of government forests private forestry is very profitable plus the good benefits to our environment. I would love to buy equipments to help prune this trees during the December break. I promise to repay promptly.

Loan Proposal

First I must state that I love education. Secondly I love to research on a rare disease mostly referred to as TMAU. And thirdly I really love to farm. Green environment is enticing and gives me a deeper understanding of life. Am fresh from college and with my trees am able to get extra income to cater for my special needs and even pay for my medical cover. Despite the employment I need extra income to help me finance my future too.

Luckily my uncle is involved in lumbering and is my immediate customer. he cuts down the trees for wood and timber.

With this loan I will be able to buy tools and equipment to prune my trees and as well prepare a seed bed and purchase irrigation hose for use when the weather will be dry in January.

When I will qualify for a bigger loan, maybe I will be able to purchase lumbering tools, equipments for my research and studies. I thank you Zidisha for this great opportunity especially for low income earners.
