I am Adolf Kintah born and raised in Mepe, a farming community in the North Tongu District in the Volta Region of Ghana. I have attended Mepe Presby Primary and Junior High Schools and then went to St.Paul Senior High School for my second cycle education; and my tertiary education at University of Ghana, Legon where I studied Sociology and Psychology.
There was no employment after doing my national service (a constitutional obligation for every Ghanaian graduate to serve the nation for one year right after school) despite several attempts. Barely five(5) years after school, I was home looking job but could not get.
As a result of this, I went and took a loan from the Mepe Rural Bank Limited to start my own business. I have opened my own shop where I sell previsions. The business was/is very lucrative such that, I repaid the loan I went for within two years.
I owned a provision shop where I sell provisional items such as Nestle and Unilever products, Gari, Sugar, Roasted Groundnuts, etc.
I got this business idea when I suffered for a number of years looking for job but could not get. I realized it would have been better if I had started my own business so I took the bold step and went for a loan for my start-up business.
My business is growing well and I am making savings toward converting the shop into a supermarket.
Dear Lenders,
I need a loan of GHS 33.00/USD 7.71 to buy six(6) bowls of raw groundnut(to be roasted and resold in my shop). I humbly therefore call on the lenders of Zidisha to fund my loan so I can meet the pressing demands of my customers.
I hope my request would meet your consideration.
Thank you
