About Me
My name is Allan Mudogoi Malande, I come from a humble background being a second born in our family. Currently am staying in Keroport - Shanzu area and my ambition is to make sure I achieve what I have set to do. Am a graduate of Information technology and Communication all did up to Diploma level. I am an Information Technology Consultant. I own a cybercafé in Mtwapa town which is the fastest growing town in Kilifi County. The main aim of starting this cyber business was to create awareness of Information Communication Technology to the common mwananchi through service and training. As an IT geek I focus on acquiring new softwares and upgrading my machines by the earnings I get from my business day by day.
My Business
I own a small cybercafé where I offer services like:- Photocopy, Internet, Printing, Typesetting, Scanning, Binding, Webcam chatting (chat services) and small office stationeries. My business is located in Mtwapa town in Kilifi County. Even though there is stiff competition I have my clients who enable me get something at the end of the day.
My clients include schools, students and institutions. Based on the fact that I have all the licenses that one needs to operate a business, I normally have no commotions with the authorities and that enables my business to run smoothly with minimal challenges.
I spend about 17,000 Kenyan shillings on rent, electricity, internet, maintenance and transport.
On average I make 25,000 Shillings and 8,000 shillings profit.
Loan Proposal
First and foremost as an IT consultant i will be working on getting new machines for my job, the first loan as i have planned will be used to purchase 1 TFT Screens that will replace CRT Screen and a new printer in my cybercafe. After repaying the first loan, i will reapply for a second loan and that one will also be used to buy a new Epson digital printer, webcams, headphones, add more TFTs and more machines so that surfing of the internet becomes efficient to clients without getting any health hazard i.e eye problems and add more stationeries secondly as i continue being a member of Zidisha i will make sure as i continue applying and if all goes well i will be working on opening a sub-branch of my cybercafé.
