About Me

Im called Juma Ponda,im married with one daughter child who is two years now.I live in a nuclear family that is myself,wife and the daughter.I live in Shimo village in Mtwapa and Mtwapa is my area of work.I was born in Kwaupanga village in Malindi district.I work as a cyclist(Boda-boda).Im a class eight leaver.My parents could not take me beyond that as they were poor and jobless.I started this business mainly to earn a leaving.I purchase with the earnings from my business the following:petrol,spare-parts like brake,chain,sprocket,side mirrors,tires,clutch-cables,headlight etc.Also buy clothes,water,food&vegetables for my family etc.hope to expand my business to create more job opportunities by buying more motor bikes for many youths in the area.I do bodaboda business in and out of Mtwapa town. Mtwap is a very high populated town with different ethic communities making this area a very business worth town. with this reason this town has become better because it attracts more people hence my bodaboda business does better since people move from one place to another more often. This business has been a success to me because i get my family needs out of this business. Its a profitable business, because i get a monthly income of ksh 40,000 per month.

My Business

Mybusiness is bodaboda business, and also selling of secondhand clothes.With this business I do it in the remote and within urban areas that is in Mtwapa in Kilifi town and in Malindi town.I normally move or travel by the help of a motorbike.In far town especially with a large quantity of clothes I board a matatu,to make the work light.There is high demand for these goods because of the high population increase and to another fact is that due to the poor economy in kenya with the majority being poor people are force to an extent of seeing second hand clothes as their clothes that soothes their budget,In other words second hand clothes remains the only alternative that soothes their budget and brand new becomes out of budget to them.Customers prefer my business in that I supply first class second hand clothes in large quantity,with good transport I supply with no delay with the rightful quantity required where as many of us don't have transport hence can not reach their clients in the proper time required.In the bodaboda business, i do this business in and out mtwapa town this is quote a good business because of the population within this area. Mwapa is a fast growing town in the coast province, with its high population growth this area has become a very good business area, for this reason my bodaboda business does very good here because of many people who are coming in every day. My customers perfer my services most maily because of my fair and friendly services, and i also understand business language and know how to keep my customers happy. this business has risks like, when it rains, the rough roads become flooded and its hard to pass through. so the business becomes very hard. I can say that this a profitable business because i get an income of ksh40,000 per month. out of this i use ksh 2,000 for my motorcycle sevice. and ksh 5,000 is used for food, ksh 10,000, i send to my mother. so i save23,000 per month

Loan Proposal

First i thank zidisha team for making my profile a success. As i said am a bodaboda business man wthin and out Mtwapa.My main objective is add another Motor cycle so as to make my business more effectively. So i will buy a second hand motor cycle at a low price and then repair it. I will also add more stock to my clothes business.this will be of goodtiming as we aproach this festive period. I hope to make more profit this month.
