i live with my wife saumu kaingu and my daughter nuru around basi location and mikingirini sub location around basi primary iam self employed with a kcpe certificatewhich igot it from basi primary in the year 1998 am in lumbering and flowerist within kilifi.from this business, i cater for some of myneeds being school fees, houses rent, medical bills and every need that arises there in.from my earnings i also assist my brother with pocket money who is learning at ngerenya secondary school who is in form three.
from timber i make materials like beds, door frames, windows. shutters etc.some used as building materials and some as furniture.its only the quality of the products that interest customers and that's the way the profit.the risk in this business is, low season and mass competition, the cost of the business and its profit is controlled by lacking of workshop and thus it varries from 30k-35k that leads to 40k-60k as sales making a10k-20k profit. the other problem i face is the lack of machinery and display site for lumbering, demand and supply for floweriest.
First i;ll secure a storey building which is currently vaccant. In this building i will store and sell timber of which i wil be sawing. some of the amount will be for down payment of the store and a big percentage approximately 60% will be for the sawing and transportation procedures untill the timber reaches the store.
