About Me

I grew up in Kangemi, a suburban in the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya. The second born among five siblings, my mother brought me up single handedly as a business woman. I finished my high school and did very many odd jobs until i decided to venture into my business after doing a business management course and got a job as a salesman at a pet shop where i learnt about aquaculture, fish and pets care and handling where i majored on fish.

Where i live the area is densely populated with the middle income earners from all walks of life, making it good for business. It is also less than 10 kilometres from the Capitals international airport so import & exports can be easy. The main road to the airport is being reconstructed to international standards.

My first born Son aspires to be a pilot, while my second son says he would like to be a soldier in the military.
My hobby is learning new things in my line of business especially discovering new species of fish.

My Business

Acquazone Solutions Ltd is a Company i founded in 2009 with a capital start up of a $ 100 USD. Increased product diversification and customer growth prompted by quality products and services and values has raised our capital worth.

Our 5P's (product, place, price, promotion & people) model is enabling us to raise profits through increased sales. Building more aquariums/fishponds and accompaniments we are solving the peoples' needs and meeting the demand for a better life occasioned by increased per capita. Part of the projected profits increase from the new stock will go towards the loan repayment. and the rest reinvested in the business.

Aquariums add natural beauty in peoples living spaces and help to conserve our environment. Fish ponds serve three main purposes namely: 1. It can be a source of income by selling fish bred in the pond. 2. Source of food: Edible fish like tilapia can be bred in fishponds and can provide a good source of safe meat. 3. Garden fish ponds also add beauty and is a breathtaking scenery incorporated in landscaping.

We make about $1500 USD per month. Expenditure takes 75% my family and personal need sconsumes about 15% and the rest of the profits are reinvested in the business.

Loan Proposal

Increase stock for variety of fish $50, fishmeal $20, Air pumps & filters pumps $ 30, other aquarium/ponds accessories like lightings $30, heaters $30 decorations $20 Makita drill $10 Total $ 190 USD. The loan from Zidisha will increase stock which will in turn raise sales and profits that will enable me to repay the loan.
The new stock will increase our sales volume by which will in turn raise our profits. This stock alone will generate a minimum 75% percent profit.
This will motivate and encourage me and my employee to maintain the profitability of this venture and meet the demand and expectations of our customers by having a steady supply of our products.
