My names are James muchendu born in Kenya Nakuru county.Am the first born in a family of five.I cleared both primary and high school levels in naibasha sub county by the end of 2018 but my parents could not raise enough money to pay my admission fee in college. I decided to hustle my own earnings and save enough money to help boost my school fees money. Since I new the fish business in naivasha I started a small business where by I could by fish from lake Naivasha then sell it in Nakuru were by demand was too high. By the end of 2019 the business was doing well and I had already saved 45000ksh (450$) to help fund my school fees in 2020. But covid 19 disrupted my plans because all learning institutaions were closed down.I decided to grow my business and I soon opened my small cafe where I could sell my own fish both row and fried fish. This was in Nakuru pipeline were one of the biggest pipeline company are.But due to Covid 19 earnings were low but I was able to grow my business slowly and later on introduced fried potatoes and sasuages aiming at a high profit.
I operate a small cafe in Nakuru pipeline where by I sell mainly fish and other foods like fried potatoes ,pilau and sausages.I have two employees who help in managing the business. business happens to be doing well because am located one the biggest pipeline company in Kenya and I sell over 70 pieces of fish in a day. Am able to earn a profit of 16000 ksh (160$) per week
i wish to purchase more fish so that i can start my own business whereby i will be able to buy fish at a wholesale price and then sell the fish at local street market.i have already tried this but at that time the fish supply was really low and i couldn't sustify my customers.with your fund raising i will be able to more fish and sell at the ready market
