About Me

I started school a young boy and by 2007 completed my KCPE with a B+ , However due to financial issues I wasn't able to join Secondary school immediately. After two years I joined and completed my KCSE in 2013, I lost my mum who was by then supporting my secondary education from her small business. I struggled so much and joined Kenyatta University where I was being partly supported by bursaries and by my own from the part time self employed job I did. However, since I could no longer benefit from the bursaries, I shifted to full time business to raise fund for my school.

My Business

I trained and got knowledge on how to handle cameras from Abedys media studios. Currently I do video shooting and editing for events and occasions. However since I need raw materials for the same, I need more money to buy such materials and for facilitation and far much to expand my scope.

Project Proposal

I intend to utilize the funds raised to make this venture successful and impactful in the following ways:
1. Infrastructure Improvement: A significant portion of the funds will be allocated to enhancing the physical infrastructure of the tuck shop. This includes renovating and expanding the shop's space to accommodate more customers comfortably. The goal is to create a welcoming and efficient environment that attracts a larger clientele.
2. Stock Expansion: To meet the varied demands of our customers and capitalize on additional foot traffic, I plan to diversify and increase the stock inventory. This means stocking a wider range of products, including snacks, beverages, essential groceries, and perhaps even introducing some locally sourced specialty items.
3. Marketing and Promotion: To ensure that the "Floodgates Tuck Shop" gains visibility and recognition in the local community, a portion of the funds will be directed toward marketing and promotional activities. This might include signage, local advertisements, and promotional events to draw more customers.
4. Loan Repayment: It's important to me to maintain a responsible and timely approach to loan repayment. A portion of the funds will be allocated to ensure the consistent repayment of the loan, which is crucial for building a strong credit history with Zidisha.
I am committed to maintaining transparency and providing regular updates on the progress of the "Floodgates Tuck Shop." Your support is invaluable, and I will ensure that your contributions are used efficiently to create a thriving and sustainable business.
Thank you
