I cleared my university degree last year and after my futile attempts to secure a job due to the high rate of unemployment in Kenya I decided to start my own small scale business of delivering food. Providing cheap food to the working people in the offices ensures they get nutrition to continue with their job and also maintain a healthy diet. I love cooking so the task that I do to earn a living is both a joy and it sustains me so far.
My business is supplying food to office workers in town I currently have 15 people who buy it daily at lunch time. Workers didn't have a place to get food during lunch time due to thier busy schedule or the restaurants in town serve fast food which is both expensive and not nutritious. i saw a need to give them a chance to have hot nutritious meals at a fraction of the cost they would pay at the restaurants. I use public means to deliver the food which is a challenge due to jams but I'm always on time during lunch hour. My clients pay 3$ per meal per day every lunch time thus in a week I make 225$ i use 100$ on buying ingredients and the other 50$ on fare. I make a profit of 75$ that I use to pay my rent, clothes and generally everything else I need I also use it to repay my student loan (HELB)
I will use the loan to buy some clingfilm @ 8$ foil@ 5$ and paper plates @ 30$ for the supply of the food, and whatever remains shall cater for my fare for two weeks thus I can use the profits and expand a little and also swiftly repay the allocated loan. Your assistance to meet my goals shall be highly appreciated
