I am a born again christian,a mother of three children and a farmer. I schooled upto secondary level and was then married off though I really wanted to progress to college.
I started farming as business after my husband passed on in agrisly road accident and had to relocate from the city to country side, being a sinle mother and with children to feed it was not easy,I got huge losses due to lack of knowledge on best agricultural practices and market trends in the beginning but did not give up.I continued growing vegetables both traditional African vegetables as well as exotic such as kales and cabbages.with time the business grew and I was able to educate my children.
in our culture women are inherited but I think these culture is not good since it leads to spread of STD ,male are circumcised as a rite of passage.
My children want to be farmers when the grow up,they believe life is always and any day you feed a farmer is always behind it.
I am a christian and I spend my free time with orphan children, the sick and the aged .
I am a small scale farmer and I grow vegetables in my farm such as cabbages, kales and traditional african vegetables which I sell to households ,schools, churches and rabbit farmers.
the demand is high because of my good quality and cleanness. I am also social, outgoing and my prices are always fair and these has given me competitive edge .I choose farming business as it was easy to start and manage, the market for the produce is also easily available.
my monthly typical costs are $120 on average and my monthly sales and revenues is $340. thank you.
I spend the money to pay fees for an orphan kid I stay with, pay fees for my child and donate to my church. I save 40% for expansion.
