About Me

My name is Thomson Karingithi,I was born in 25th of July 1982, in Karatina , Nyeri County.Started my primary education at Icuga primary school, sat my K.C.P.E in year 1998,then proceeded to Kaheti High School for my secondary education,I did my K.C.S.E in 2002.In year 2003 I joined a technical college for a dress making course, there after i was employed for three years. I later started my dress making business in year 2009 up to date.

My Business

Kenyans mostly wear second hand clothes because they are cheap, most of them cannot afford imported clothes which are three times as much. I took that advantage by making dresses which are much affordable. The three basic human needs are food, shelter and clothing, this last need gives my business an edge, since every one needs clothes. Dress making business requires stock, there is rent, bills and maintenance of sewing machines. This business gives me an average of thirty thousand shillings per month, part of this proceeds go to rent{ksh 3000}, electricity and water{1500},children{ksh 10,000}this includes their food. Stocking my business takes[ksh 10,000}. The remaining{ksh 5,500} goes to miscellaneous, for the well being of the business.

Loan Proposal

first and foremost I will buy the materials , part of the loan ill be used to advertising ,through posters and friars. Therefore this loan will help me in expanding my business. The materials will cost kes 5,000,posters and friars will cost at least kes 3,000.This expansion will help in creating jobs, this is because when this business expands after extensive advertisement, demand will increase thus promoting job creation.
