I am a mother of two. My teachers love me not because I was brilliant but because of my sporting activities. Soon after my Jss, I went to learn seamstressing and got pregnant during the trade. I could not therefore finished to establish myself with that. Currently I am a single parent of two without any meaningful job. My first born is in Technical university and I have to take care of him as a single parent. The second born is also in her first year SHS. I sell vegetables and because I am a single parent, I also farm in addition to help my family.
Vegetables are not that common at Sawaba where I stay. Most of the farmers grow maize, cassava, plantain etc but they do not cultivate vegetables in and around where I stay and because of that I decided to start vegetable selling business. Every week I travel to Techiman where vegetables are very cheap to buy these vegetables and come and sell. This business has helped people to get fresh ingredients for their dishes. I use the profit I make to support my children education.
This loan will be used to buy and resell tomatoes, garden eggs, cabbage pepper etc from farmers to customers respectively.
I will always travel a distance of about 10 km to the village to buy the ingredients. The transportation cost 5 ghs per head.
I have target to make a profit of 10-15% per week after deducting all my expenses.
Thank you.
