About Me

My names are Moses Mamande Stephen, I am the third born in a family of seven, three boys and four girls. I am married and I have two children who are still young a boy and a girl. I am a diploma holder in business administration which I completed in Kenya institute of management studies(KIMS) in the year 2012.i started the business In the year 2013,August when I found that getting employment was becoming hard and also to benefit from the raising number of residents in Maili inne especially from students.
My business started as an Mpesa where customers make deposits and withdrawals from there mobiles and also send money through the device. i also sell airtime for both operators.
AS time went by my income increase as were have very few Mpesa in Maili Inne, which prompted me to start selling mobile accessories from the the profits I derived and also has enabled me to purchase a piece of land in the same place Maili Inne where my family leaves which is very near from my work place.
i also opened up a kiosk which has been doing very well from the beginning of these year.i started up the kiosk as mostly it was cheap as its located just on the road and on my own land.
From the shop my wife normally runs as it is a bit cheap compared to the mpesa and more so we normally assist each other when ever there is need be.
from the shop we sell, bread, sugar, salt, tea leaves and more other house hold items.
I am a fan of football and I like watching Watching football on free time, a player in our club called HOME BOYS which are played as on weekends. I am a c Christian too and I fellowship at Maili inne and also a member of church committee.

My Business

My source of income will come from our house hold shop which we sell, bread, sugar, salt, etc and our Mpesa shop and mobile accessories.from the mpesa shop we sell mobile phones and my main customers are students from Moi University and also the residents. Phones generate a lot of income compared to the Mpesa. These is why my goods are in demand and yields profits. Apart from loses of cash due to thucks which I have not experienced as I have used iron metals to partition and only left a small space for customer transactions and also separated the Mpesa and the mobile accessories as seen in the picture I took in the shop.
Secondly,we also have a shop which has been improving in the past six months,in these shop mostly my wife operates and as noted before we sell item like, bread, sugar, salt, tea leaves and more other house hold items.
From the Mpesa i make around USD 688 these includes proceeds from mobile phone accessories.
For the shop we make about USD 400 and a net profit of about USD 235.i have been improving from the start of mpesa shop and to acquisition of land and now we have already progressed with the shop and doing very well.

Loan Proposal

Thank you so much zidisha for the entrust and allowed me to borrow my first zidisha loan to improve my business. My first loan will be of great help as i already experience high demand and good sales for the couple of months.i will use USD 100 to buy mobile accessories that i normally with the addition of the monthly proceeds that is meant for mobile purchase off the month after sales. I will also used USD 40 to add to the working capital of the mpesa (float),which will enable my customers to withdraw using the float send money. With two respectively my phone sales will increase and my commissions for the mpesa will increase too. Thank you so much zidisha and zidisha lenders i am looking forward towards assisting me.
