About Me

Am Valentine Ochieng born in 1992 and the third born in a family of five children. I went in Nasira AC Primary School and joined to class one in the year 2000 and later on did my KCPE in 2009 and managed to get 251 out of 500 marks.
In year 2010, I joined Nambale polytechnic and I did Mechanical Engineering for only one year, I didn't manage to finish my course due to fee problem.
Later on I came to Nairobi in 2011 and joined Pinkerton Security Company for a period of one year.
I saved little money and started small business which is Babar shop where I offer shaving, phone charging and cloth ironing as the main services.

My Business

I operate a Babar shop where shaving, phone charging and cloth ironing being the services i offer. The shop earns me a leaving, as the only thing I do for a leaving? am always concern about it.
The shop is able to pay rent, earn me my basic things, and also able to pay school fees for little siblings.
Though there are some challenges I face in the shop. first of all the electricity the business consumes ranges from $18 per month. House rent is $37 a month and the business is so competitive in the region
I do always overcome all this challenges by offering good services to my customers which makes them so happy, when they go they come back with there friends.
and because my shaving machines have lasted for long, I really need to buy new ones, Iron box and new phone chargers of all different phone types.

Loan Proposal

The funds will help me to buy one aluminum door which is worth $ 57. Installation will cost $32 and transportation from welding to my business is $6. The remaining balance of $5 will be used to buy black painting color for painting the door after installation.
I decided to buy the metallic door for on 15 May 2015 thugs broke to my business on 15 midnight and took three shaving machines, eight customers mobile phones that I left charging, mobile charges and sub-woofer which I use to entertain my customers who wait for my services while I serve others.
The door that was broken is a wooden one where they used a heavy metal to remove the padlock and easy getting in.
For now am using extra shaving machines I had kept in my house that previously I bought and without this shaving machines? my business would have no more again. With your help, I will be able to secure my business.
