About Me

My name is Brenda Koech, a business lady currently working and living in Kericho Town, Kenya . I am from a small family of three consisting of my mother, my older brother and myself. My family currently resides in Rongai, Nakuru.
I received my primary school education in Kericho and after successfully completing my primary education, i attended an all girls high school in Nairobi for my secondary education. I later enrolled at a local university to pursue a Business degree in Marketing.

My Business

I recently started a new business venture selling liquid detergents and disinfectants.
I usually send for raw materials from Nairobi, measure and mix them myself, package and then sell them around Kericho town.
I pack the detergents in recycled plastic containers of 500ml and 1ltr but sometimes I get orders of 5, 10 and 20ltrs which usually go to offices and institutions around Kericho town.

Project Proposal

With the last loan I was able to buy raw materials to make 20 litres of liquid soap. I packed the soap in 1 litre containers and was lucky enough to sell all of them within the last two weeks.
With the current loan, I hope to buy raw materials to make at least 40 litres of liquid soap. This will ensure that I have adequate stock for my newly found customers

Thanks everyone who funded my project. As explained in my loan proposal, I plan to increase the float level of my mobile money business and also introduce children's items for sale.

I was able to increase my mobile money float with the last loan however I was not able to make my repayments on time since I welcomed my first born daughter through emergency CS and needed all my savings to clear the hospital bill.

Business has been very slow this month and was therefore unable to keep up with the weekly payments.

I was able to increase my stock of liquid detergent with the last loan. This has enabled me to maintain a stable supply for my existing customers and also acquire new customers.
