I was born in the eastern province of Kenya in ukambani where is semi desert. Due to its remoteness and in adequate facilities, we had to walk for along distance over 10kilometers away school. since my hoe is from semi arid area my parents could not carry on agriculture yet they had no a good means to earn enough money to take as to school i was to find another means for survival.as believed hardworking pays i had to work hard to achieve my dream and become self employed as i did not manage to continue with my education.i paid for a carpentry course where i learn how to make furniture goods.Nairobi is the best place to live and invest in business due to its high population that has increased the demand of human needs.i would wish my children to become engineer and doctor when they grow up.i like meeting friends to exchange ideas and listening to gospel music.
I am a carpenter whereby i make and sell furniture like sofa sets, tables, stools, cupboards and wall units to my customers. this valuable good to people as people need furniture in their life. I decided to do this business due to its high demand and the current population growth in Nairobi that i got the interest to make quality furniture at the best price.my typical cost may vary according to the sells daily and i can sell between 1 to 4 sets in a day at a price $150 each that i have to use it for adding materials and paying rents.zidisha has in other hand made my business to improve and change life as i can now make more ready goods to my customers.i use my profit to pay rents and bills, school fees, and home improvements.
I will buy frames sets $30,1set sponges at $20,velvet $30,timber $20,cushions $16 and 1 packet of tads nails at $2. This will increase my production effectively and create job opportunities to youth and even have time to train others for the benefit of our economic growth. I expect 40%increase in my profit and this will enhance my productivity that will change my life at large.
