About Me

I was born and raised in an humble background, my childhood life was tough since i among my other 3 siblings were raised up by a single breadwinner. I went for my primary education in a local school, later advanced for my o-level education . I faced financial difficulties in my studies since all the four of us were in school at the same time and a mere teacher couldn't afford to pay for us the fees up to the college level, but lucky enough, this always motivated me in a way since i really needed to make the best out of me. My college studies were at stake now since i really needed to expand my knowledge and drive my dream of becoming a successful entrepreneur home. I once met a well wisher, whom i gave my story and humbly helped me with a capital with which i ventured in a clothesline business, which has successfully grown. I live in a coastal area where people have a positive mind on fashion and fun. I have a positive spirit that when my kids grow up i would love them to grow their talents . I love acting in stage plays and i have a positive mind on stewardship, thus at times,i spend my free time doing some community work. I have been sponsoring Umoja Youth group Malindi, though buying them disposable gloves, garbage collection bags and refreshments to motivate them. The youth group specializes in cleaning the town through garbage collection

My Business

I sell both women and men clothing shoes and sandals. Malindi town, being a tourist destination and beach arena, sandals, shorts and lady beach dresses serve them well thus being the best investment i thought positively . I initially invested ksh 25,000. Every week i generate an estimated profit of 4,000 after bills. Being in school myself, i use the business revenue for business expansion, school fees, rent and some for community development. I together with Umoja Youth group spend every last week of the month, collecting and disposing garbage across our public beaches, slums and the town itself. I have come up with a new project whereby i together with Umoja youth group synthesize the community on the risks of poor hygiene, earlier pregnancy, drug abuse and HIV/AIDS through facilitating them, teaching them skits which they perform live on the vulnerable public and the whole community at large.

Loan Proposal

If my loan application is successful, I will fund the Umoja youth group and expand the project of garbage collection, fund partially my business of clothing and increase my stock thus improving revenue. I will be more than jubilant if the Zidisha organization sees me through my dream and ambition.
