About Me

Iam GRACE WANGUI i was born in 1962 in Ongata rongai . Am a mother to three boys and one girl. am farmer of green vegetables. Through the support of my parents i went to my primary education later my secondary education and also i attained a diploma in catering Kenya poly technical university college .later after completion of my college education through the support of self help groups i got some small funds to start selling cosmetics and the profit which i made i was able to start a green vegetables farm with about one hectare. Am happy because the place where i located my job is a busy place due to the surrounding school and colleges thus making my income to be favorable through the supply of farm products to the same areas and markets around. my children's are happy about me and they wish to be farmers too in their time when they complete their education . As a hobby i like and love swimming and making food.

My Business

In by area of business ,most of the services i lender are supplying vegetables in the nearby hotels and markets as well as schools and colleges around . This services makes my business so popular in the area especially by my customers which are from within the area.I admire the job so much and i decided to have that kind of business because there is no any other of the same kind and thus i have no competition for that side. having the business alone in the area , it make me to have a profit of about 188.9 US dollars per month which is capable to meet all my domestic needs and paying the rent of the house that i live and that of business

If i get this amount am expecting to prepare my gargen for planting with amount of Ksh2500/= Planting seedling of cabbages amounting Ksh 1500/= cales seedlings amounting Ksh 1500/= tomatoes seedlings amounting 1500/= onions seedlings amounting Ksh 2000/= and also spinach amounting Ksh 2000/= in addition i will also buy 25kg normal fertilizer for top dressing amounting Ksh 3500/= and two bags saw dust manure amounting Ksh 4000/= .
