About Me

hi,i am stephen kangoro, a very passionate entrepreneur based in nakuru. My passion for agriculture stems way back when i was a little boy,i would raise rabbits and sell them by the age of 6!my parents are farmers here in nakuru.i started this fruit vending business 4 years ago.So far the response has been overwhelming, fruits are always fast selling.Ironically i have a Diploma in mechanical engineering from egerton university, however i like being my own boss hence i started this fruit vending business, well the returns are really good,i am able to live a relatively comfortable life. With the loan i will get from zidisha,i plan to venture into vegetable selling which am confident will increase my profits

My Business

in this fruit vending business, i basically act as a middleman between the farmer and the consumer. My job typically entails visiting various farms around nakuru and purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from farmers and thereafter sell them to customers. My customers prefer my supplies since they are natural and ever fresh, despite competition in this business i am able to make good profits-in a good week i can make profits of up to 8,000 shillings, costs include transport to and fro the farm which ranges from 700,1200 weekly

Loan Proposal

Greetings to all the zidisha community,i plan to broaden my horizon with this loan from zidisha, currently i deal with fresh fruits and a limited selection of vegetables, however with this loan from ziidisha i plan to increase my variety to include cabbages, tomatoes, beans and spinach,i plan to put aside 2,500 for purchase of cabbages,i have already identified good farmers who will supply me with the best quality,in addition will use 2,000 to buy supplies of tomatoes, this is a very sensitive item hence i was very cautious when selecting the most suitable suppliers, furthermore i shall set aside 1,000 for the purchase of spinach while the remaining 2,000 shall be allocated for the purchase of beans.I am fortunate to have built a bigger shop hence i shall not be required to to use any money for building.I do wish to assure all zidisha lenders that with this loan my business will increase profitability. Thanks and best of regards
