About Me

I am a Zambian lady aged 37, with three children - two boys, one girl. We were born five - two brothers and three sisters. I did my grade 12 at Chama Bording Secondary School in Eastern Province of Zambia, and I finished my high school education in 1998. After completing my High School in 1998 I started doing volunteery work with different communities and different organizations from 1999 - 2015. Life turned sour when my husband divorced me just after he finished college education as a medical personnel and started working, instead of enjoying the money from the medical education he pursued, that I supported him from the very beginning, he opted to to divorce me . It was very painful for me, and it became difficult for me to sustain my children as a single mother, that is when I started doing business selling groceries so that I can sustain my children and send them back to school. Still even after I started business I could find it difficulty for me to meet all my family necessities. When I came across Zidisha I celebrated, and said my answer has come.

My first born daughter says she wants to become a teacher when she finishes school.

During my pastime I like climbing up the mountains for excises as well as for prayers , my area is a mountainous area.

My Business

The grocery business I am doing, I supply soap, lotion, and other types of business. Groceries are on high demand due to the fact that they are daily needs. It was after thorough research when I found this type of business.

I invested $400 into my business, and out of this business. The business is growing fast with 20% monthly profit . And out of this business I manage to grow my business, pay my children's school fees and improve my home.

Loan Proposal

With the loan from Zidisha I will buy additional groceries as follows:

1. Groceries - $165
2. Transport - $17

The profit that I will make from this business will help me repay the loan, pay school fees for my children and improve my home. My life and family's will greatly improve for the better.
