About Me

My name is Charity Musonda with a green national registration card. My family and I live in Makeni Villa in Lusaka province the capital city of the republic of Zambia. I have 3 children, 2 girls and I boy.

I went to Jacaranda Basic School and completed my grade 12 or secondary school. I hold advanced Diploma in Business Administration.

I started working as Sales Officer for Trade Kings PLC Limited . I worked there for 4 years until my employment contract came to an end.

Therefore, when I was paid my gratuity I thought of starting up a business.
I started a small business of selling in a shop groceries. However, during my free times I love swimming and watching football and basket ball and also interacting with my friends.

Our country is so unique because it has 72 tribes with different cultural norms and rich in natural resources especially the mining industry which attract foreign investments and also the tourism industry.
I wish my children to have good education which will accelerate them to higher jobs in future.

My Business

Am involved in a retail business and I operate in a shop were I sell groceries.
I sell all kinds of grocery goods ranging from sugar, salt, cooking, rice, butter, bread, bathing soap, watching soap, drinks, dressed chickens, sausages, eggs and meat products to mention but a few.

To ran this business my typical cost of buying or restocking these goods ranges from ZMW 10,000.00 to ZMW 15,000.00 .
The groceries are mostly essential goods for home consumption and the demand is very high.

The only challenge I face in running this business is lack of enough capital to stock up the shop and grow the business.
My turn over per week is approximately between ZMW 2,500 to ZMW 3000 of which I have to restock more goods in the shop, pay shop rentals , school fees for my children and home improvement- this is to ensure we have three meals per day as a family.

Project Proposal

am requesting funds at least an amount of ZMW 30,000.00 to buy and restock more goods in my grocery shop. With more funds, I will be able to expand the shop inventory and offer choices of good to my customers of which in return will increase my shop revenue every day and earn more profits. As a business owner I want to ensure my shop becomes a one stop for shopping were customers can buy everything under one umbrella in our community. I am really dedicated to the growth and success of my business and with support, I will be highly motivated to work hard and achieve my life goals and contribute positively to my community.
Your support for me will be highly appreciated. Thank you in anticipation.
