About Me

My name is Cyprian Ogambi. I grew up in a village in Siaya County. But currently living and doing business in Nairobi. I went through Primary, Secondary, up to College Edication. As a child, growing up i always loved art. I could spend lots of hours drawing and painting This led me in to taking Graphic design at the college. I joined The Kenya Polytechnic College as it was known then. Today it Is known as Technical University Of Kenya.After finishing college i decided that i wanted to become an artist To this end i opened my art studio here in Nairobi where i have been doing my art. I paint on canvas ,paper and on board. l use oil paints,water colour paints and acrylic paints. i use brush and pallette knife to paint. I also make African Jewellery from various materials and sell.

My Business

I have my studio here in Nairobi where i do my art I do my paintings and sell to Art Galleries and shops I organise art exhibitions for art in Art Galleries Mallsand Hotels. I also do painting on commission if i get a client I use oil paints acrylic paints and water colour paints. I paint on canvas, paper and on board. I use brushes and painting pallettes. i do abstract and semi abstract paintings. My business also include making and selling of African Jewellery. I sell the jewellery to Gift shops and individuals. I participate in Art and Craft fairs and exhitions as well . In making jewellery , use materials such as bones, cut stones,glass, wood,paper and many other recycled materials from the surroundings. The money i get from the business has helped me with educating and feeding my children. I also plough some back into businesses to grow my business. This i also where i will get the funds to pay back the loan Working as an artist has been very fulfilling .

Loan Proposal

With this loan, if successful i will use it to buy some more materials which i will use to make jewellery. I will also use it to buy some paints and new brushes for my paintings. This will help boost my business.
