I am a 24 year old Kenya business lady, the sixth born in a family of seven; three sisters and four brothers. Living in Maxwell Center Apartments, house number seven, ground floor, at Limuru town. An urban county approximately 10 kilometers form Bata shoe shop Limuru. I hold a diploma in community development from Royal Polytechnic and still studying for a higher level, a course that build me into the business that am in; house to house care and cleaning that I started when I was in school until now because of my strong desire to show what am learning and to be my own boss and do what am interested to do. My business currently operates with the support of institutional catering which we deliver tea and snacks at tea break and lunch time.
My business involves cleaning of compounds and fence cutting at the same time delivering food and drinks at institutional like Bata Shoe Company and other institutions. I have 10 permanent workers now who all together work as a team to meet the demand of my client. I have operated this business for two and a half years now, gaining me and experience that is priceless. There is a very high demand for my services in this area that I operate in because of my pricing and the relation I have created with my clients over time. The challenges I face in this business include the cost of tools, traveling and marketing expenses. My monthly income is approximately 82, 000 exclusive of labor rent and my bills which amount to 45, 000, leaving me with a net profit of 37, 000.
hae lenders, with the loan i have borrowed i will use 18000 Kenyan shillings by buying a refrigerator for keeping ma food stuff cool and fresh and thus increasing my customer by surfing them fresh and deli seas food, and 6000 for buying a big thermos and and by doing this i can surf many customer without going back to the kitchen. 4000 increase my utensils and i can surf many customers without waiting me to wash the already used ones .6000 on my cutting tools ,this will help me get more work and more workers working at different sites, and the rest of money on my uniform and my workers uniforms and protective kits.
