My name is Portia Ameyaa. I am from Ghana, specifically Berekum in the Brong Ahafo Region. I am the second born of my family. My father was a cocoa farmer and my mother too is a trader. My parents and I have lived in this city for many years. I am married and I have two children, a girl and a boy. I have completed basic education with a good certificate. After I completed it, things became hard for my parents to take me forward so they took me to study hair dressing. Now I have studied this business for so many years and I have qualifications to make my own business. My daughter, the older one, is already in school, but my son is still very small. To contribute to my family's income, I run a hairdressing business. So now I am trying to get my own shop to make my income to take care of my son and my family.
I am so grateful to make my own business for hair dressing In my hair salon. I offer various services to my clients, such as making braids and buns and putting in weaves. My salon is located at Berekum in Ahenbornoso Street, which means that attracting customers is no problem. I have a girl working for me whom I pay every month, since in this job there are a lot of customers for my business. Trying to satisfy their appointments can be a hassle, especially near the holidays. I also buy hair extensions that I resell to my customers for a profit. I buy them for 2,000, 2,500, or 3,000 GH and resell them for 2,000 to 4,500 respectively. I will use this loan to invest in buying and selling these hair extensions, which will attract more customers to my salon. I also need light because where I stay now there is no light so I want this loan to provide light as well to improve my business.
I also buy hair extensions that I resell to my clients for a profit. I buy them for 2,000, 2,500, or 3,000 francs and resell them for 2,000 to 4,000 respectively. I will use this loan to invest in buying and selling these hair extensions, which will attract more customers to my salon
