About Me

Mambili Christabel is my name, a third born to Benjamin and Beatrice, born in Nairobi in a family of nine. My academic life has been a journey of hassle since childhood to date. I have a few qualifications in academics, which include: Accounting Technician and Certified public Accounts. A diploma in Business management from the Kenya Institute of Management, Computerized accounts and Certificate in Information Technology. I pursued High school Education at the Kisumu Girls High school.
The most important and challenging goal to achieve in my life was pursuing my education. I managed to go through my education, with the help of well wishers who willingly sponsored me because I always performed very well in class; life in school was always hectic with financial problems and bearing in mind the situations back at home. I focused and finally achieved my goals.
I am new in the entrepreneurship life but this does not make me feel discouraged but makes me feel I have a challenge ahead of me. I managed to start my business using the capital I raised from the savings I made from the little casual jobs I used to do. The savings were little every month but with time more and more.
I did a keen market study so as to identify the market, study and understand the requirements and challenges ahead of me. Conclusively I realized that most young people always want to look good and classy, as much as the youths want to look good and classy they do not have much to spend on it.
The most unique and outstanding thing about my culture is that, almost everyone works hard to achieve their goals in life. I made a resolution not only to work hard but aggressively smart.
I utilize my free time in finding out the trends in the market using the internet. This enables me to upgrade my inventory with most recent products, so as to sustain my customers satisfactorily.

My Business

The business I run entails, selling lady’s handbags and cloth fabric. These goods are in demand because; handbags are the most valued accessory in the possession of a lady. The ladies always want their handbags to stand out in the outfit. This is the reason why I decided to join them in making the fulfill the desires of their hearts.
The fabric I sell is of East African origin, this fabric can be used for so many purposes, it has a variety of colors to select from and can be designed for both casual and official wear.
I choose to sell fabric and handbags because, they have high demand in the market, they can be used by all people in the society regardless of their, age, color or financial status. Everyone can certainly get what they want to have for their particular occasion.
My business is easy to manage, I use social media to advertize and sell but in most cases my products sell from customer to customer that is: most customers are referred to me by my previous customers.
The costs I inure to run my include: Commuter for: buying stock and delivery to customers, Advertizing costs; Purchasing data bundles and airtime for making calls.
My revenue is basically from the sales I make, I also get some jobs out of the business because my business is not a full time job. From this revenue I am able to run the business, support my family and myself.
The profits I get form the business I utilize it in three ways:
1. I support my parents in taking care of my siblings.
2. Boost the capital for inventory purchase and maintenance
3. Support myself for the personal needs.
4. Acquiring resources for running the business.
I feel I am not doing enough because the market is growing, the demand is high but I am not able so sufficiently deliver my business.

Loan Proposal

If I am granted this loan i will use it to fund my business by increasing my stock.
I would buy a few clothes for 80 Dollars.
The benefit of increasing my sales would be customer satisfaction due to availability of the items required.
By updating my stock, I am certain of making a profit of two percent more than the last sale.
