I am a Moi University graduate and I stay in Nairobi, Komarock. I am an online entrepreneur but with a growing passion for the fashion world. For the last 3 years, I have been earning my living through blogging, article writing, ebook writing and academic writing.
In fact, the first loan you guys gave me elevated my online business to a new level and enabled me to start a boutique business, which will be the focus of my application.
I was able to respond to requests from different clients regarding creating different online products such as ebooks, PowerPoint presentations, guides, and tutorials. I was also able to engage in intensive marketing that saw a growth in my website visitors and customers as well.
Profits from my online business enabled me to start a boutique business at Daystar University (main Campus). This boutique deals with the sale of dresses, ladies’ shoes, and jewellery.
This business has been operating for the last two months and so far the demand is rising. Customers are now asking for new products such as T-shirts, hand bags, laptop bags, trousers, and other shoe types/designs.
Therefore, lenders, please help me raise more money to purchase these new items for my boutique business so as to put a smile on the face of my customers. More details are in ‘about your business’ section. Thanks in advance!
As aforementioned in my story, I run an online business dealing with blogging, article writing, ebook writing and academic writing. The second business is a boutique shop, which stocks dresses, ladies’ shoes, tops, and jewellery (earrings, necklaces, and bracelets). This business has been operation for two months now and so far, there’s great potential for growth.
Most customers are asking for items that I don’t sell such as T-shirts, hand bags, laptop bags, trousers, and other shoe types/designs. If funded, I’ll be able to purchase these items on whole sale and meet the growing demand.
My edge over my competitors is that while they sell second hand items at high prices, I stock my shop with trendy, new, and attractive products that suit the ultra modern campus student. This attracts more customers to my shop every day.
I buy ladies’ shoes and dresses and at $5 each and sell at $9-$10 each. I buy fashionable tops at $3 an sell at $5 each. Additionally, I buy jewellery items at a wholesale price of $2 per piece and sell them at $4 each. On average, I make a percentage profit of 80% to 100% per item.
The average sales per month amount to $225. Rent costs $56, salary for shop attendant is $67 and electricity costs $5. Therefore, my monthly net profit amounts to $97. If I add more stock and the new products, this is likely to grow by about 30% in the next two months. Please help me achieve this goal.
Thanks lenders for reading my application up to this far. I intend to use the loan to add hand bags, laptop bags an T-shirts to my boutique shop. The wholesale price per item is as follows: hand bag - $18, laptop bag - $8.5 and T-shirts - $5.
I would like to purchase 10 hand bags, 20 laptop bags and 20 T-shirts which will cost $180, $170, and $100 respectively. These new stock will help me to meet the demand of my customers an be able to create employment - at least by paying a monthly salary to the person running the boutique. Please support me. Thank you!
