About Me

Am Stella Amuruon a resident of Awata village, Okuleu Sub-location, Teso North District, Busia County, Kenya. I attended Amagoro primary school in western Kenya and later did my O level education in Kolanya Girls High School in Busia County where I performed well. I did my diploma education in Kenya Institute of Industrialization (KITI) in Nakuru Kenya and Graduated in the year 2010. I am the first born in the family of seven children. I have worked with different organizations which has helped me gain valuable experience and expertise skills on how to deal with customers and increase sales. I started dairy farming two years ago after I was given a cow as a present by my Uncle; with little resources I managed to buy farm produce and feeds for my animal. Currently I have two cows and am planning to expand my farm by building an addition grazing unit to cater for another cow which am planning to buy in the near future.

My Business

First of all before I even saying anything I would like to thank the entire Zidisha family for the good work they are doing by assisting millions of small scale entrepreneurs across the globe to meet their objectives may the almighty God always bless you abundantly. I started Dairy farming two years ago after I was a given a cow as a present by my Uncle. With little resources I managed to buy farm feeds and produce for my animals. Currently the business is doing and am really proud of what I have done so far, am planning to expand my business to accommodate another cow due to the increasing demand for dairy products. My strategic business location gives me an added advantage over my competitors because the location is adjacent to the local market owned by a city council and two private schools owned privately. My average total revenue is Ksh 50,000 and My average total cost is Ksh25,000 and My average net Profit is Ksh 25,000. Apart from that I have a stable income of Ksh 10,000 per month. Thank you zidisha Community and may the almighty God always be with you.

Loan Proposal

Happy New year 2014 to each and every Zidisha member out there. I will always wish you the best no matter what, 2013 had been a great year for me and more particularly my business. I managed to repay back the loan I acquired from you comfortably from my business, apart from that I have been able to save for my business expansion; currently am planning to add another dairy cow and a deep freezer for milk preservation. Two years ago the Government of Kenya promulgated the new constitution; and devolution of resources was the one of the greatest milestone of the Constitution, this has brought lots of business opportunities to the local level. The two nearby schools and polytechnic received funds three months ago for expansion. This has led to more students to be enrolled this year 2014. Being my primary markets just like any other business person I have to quickly think about expansion. By adding another cow and a deep freezer am sure I will be in a better position to meet the escalating demand of the dairy products. With this, I will be able to increase my profits by 20%, settle my bills, and pay back my loan comfortably without any difficulties. I believe in myself and the potential I have when it comes to business. I will add my savings with the loan amount I have requested from you guys to make all this possible. Thank you and May the almighty God always be with you.
