About Me

my name is happy kamatha.i was born in choma in 1987.my parents are named paul and magaret.i was born in a family of four and im the last born.iam a single mother of one.my daughter is four years old.my father died in 2011 and my mother is still alive, life growing up wasnt so easy but my father tried his best to provide for me and my siblings and he saw us through school.about 2 years ago,i lost my job and decided to start business inorder for me to survive.i started renting a small shop in town and i started offering services like photocopying, typing and printing.thisa business has helped me alot.my sister told me about zidisha and that they can help me grow my business.that is how i applied to join.i would like to grow my business by purchasing a scanner and i want to order stationery.that way il be able to take care of my child and myself.choma is a small town and i have a good number of customers.i believe my business has the pottential to grow big and one day il be able to open many stationery shops.

My Business

my business is photocopying, typing and printing.people come for typing services as well as photocopying and printing.in a month i m able to raise about $100 if business is good.when business is slow i make about 60-$70 in a month.the money that i make is used to pay rent for the shop as well as my house rent ,upkeep and my daughters school fees.i have requested for this loan because i want to grow my business.i want to buy a scanner and stationery.this will enhance my business.i wish to have internet services as well in future.i believe that when i get a scanner and put up internet my services will improve more.

Loan Proposal

when i get the loan,i will use the money to buy a scanner which will cost me $80.most times customers want to scan but i do not have the scanner.then i will buy stationery like envelopes, pens, plain papers staples, books and folders.these will cost me $70 in total.the note books i order them at 5cents each, same applies with the folders.pens i order them 1cent each as well as the pencils and rubbers.plain papers i order them at $2 a rim.staples i order at $3 a box.these items will be of benefit to my customers because most times when they come to my shop i do not have them.i believe that my services will improve and il be able to grow my business.
