About Me

My name is Jane Waithira Kamau and a resident of KITI next to KITI Institute immediately. Its 300metres walking distance left of KITI Institute plot number 276 room number 3. l am the last born in our family of nine members and my siblings are in various colleges here in Nakuru. l graduated two years ago from Kabete Technology Institute with a degree in Pharmacy, However, because of increasing competition for teaching positions in two
year colleges, the number of instructors with doctorates is growing.
Doctorates are required for many Chemists in administrative, managerial
and basic Research positions in industry. Chemistry teachers and
professors at four-year colleges and universities must have doctorates.
Much of their work week is devoted to doing Research. Ten to fifteen hours
per week is spent on teaching duties. l decided to venture into business where I started a chemist.A chemist is chemical processes within our bodies that give us life and keeps us alive. Chemistry helps us understand how things work, and gives us new ways of making life better. Chemistry is involved in the making of most of the things we use everyday.Chemistry has so many uses in our daily lives that we could barely survive without it. Chemistry knowledge and methods are used to make: Detergents, Drugs and medicines, Textiles, Dyes and pigments and Fertilisers, to name only a few products.l use my earnings to support my family and my siblings who are still in college.

My Business

Having a practical understanding of how to protect intellectual property can help chemists work productively with patent attorneys to safeguard my interests. Many chemists, both industry veterans and novices, don’t have these skills. Therefore, veteran chemists who have these skills and can describe them clearly have a significant advantage in the job market. On a good month am able to make Ksh 30,000 as net profit. Most Chemists work regular hours in well-equipped, well-lit laboratories,
offices, or classrooms but may do some of their Research in a chemical
plant or outdoors. I handle potentially explosive or highly caustic
chemicals, although risks are minimal when proper safety procedures are
followed. With the support from the Zidisha team i wish to increase my products and am aiming to the best opportunity for advancement, though, is through advanced degrees.
Chemists with a master's degree usually qualify for applied Research
positions and teaching positions in two year colleges. A doctorate offers
the best opportunities for higher levels of Research and four-year college
teaching positions.
