My name is Martha Kyundu Kyenze a resident of mtwapa, mtomondoni erea.am a mother of seven children, i live with all my family here in mtwapa.i went to kyamato primary school in the year 1989,then i did not proceed further due to lack of fees,i started doind business as a way to earn a living a strated a restaurant and after some time and serious saving i opened a tailorig shop. I started this business in order to help my self and my family especially my children to go to better schools.I also started this because of the high population within mtwapa since its about to become a big town in Kenya.i will use the earnings to add more stock and expand my business to be able to attract more people and help my family with basic needs. With the income i get from this business i buy foo for my family, pay school fees, and also invest back to the business so as to expand my business further.
i have two business namely dressmaking and a restaurant within mtwapa town in Kenya.i do make all kinds of clothes for both male and female and i sell them locally here.i sell chapati, maandazi, kaimati, beans, tea, green grams, ugali, rice, pilau, karanga, meat stew, chicken.i also sell vegetables like tomatoes, onions ,potatoes, pawpaws.green peepers, mangoes, oranges, cucumbers, green maize, coconuts and many more items of value.Demand for these items is so high due to high population within mtwapa coup[led with a twenty four hour economy within here.the demand is high due to most of them being small scale business men and civil servants who have low income and hence able to attract them.my customers prefer here because i sell fresh goods and then my level of hygiene is high for that case therefore able to make more cash as a result of more customers.competition is there however i have set my standards very high through cleanliness and reasonable prices that is able to attract customers.my business is profitable because i sell substance items that are used by the society on daily basis.my monthly gross profit is Kenya shillings 23000.expenses is Kenya shillings 10,000.The balance of Kenya shillings 13,000 can be used to pay my lenders and also expand my business.
Hello, am so happy that my loan application has been approved. My thanks to the entire zidisha team for the good work and devortion towards my loan application. i want to make sure that i utilise the funds by investing the whole amount into my business.
