Hello, my name Benjamin Wambua is born and brought up in a small village in rural kenya. I am married with one beautiful girl and another blessing on the way. I started this business to supplement my small income and secure a future for my kids. I am excited to share this opportunity with you.
This a fairly new business that has been going on since April this year after trying severak businesses and settling with this one that has proven to be rucrative.
I buy a bale of coloured and paired bedsheets from a local supplier then resell them as single pairs to my client base.
I am planning to expand my client base as well as add more stock to my business, this will allow me to get a quantity discount and with that i can reduce my selling price to make use of economies of scale.
A single bale goes for 34000 Kes and contains about 24 pairs of bedsheets, i am able to resell the pairs at 2500 Kes per pair.
I intend to do this business for two days of every week when there are market days, i.e. Mondays and Fridays. Each sack i purchase and resell is able to give me a profit of KES 1000, (buying at KES 1500 and reselling at KES 3000) provided that i bring many sacks in a lorry or a large pickup thereby cutting down on transport costs. I ntend to buy 45 sacks of potatoes for start. i intend to plough in back the profits in my business so as to grow it and in future to buy a lorry to eliminate or cut down the transport costs drastically. My business will support the small scale farmer by providing ready market for their goods and also help improve the livelihood of my customers sincei will be able to provide them with quality farm product at an affordable price.
Thanks soo much for your support soo far, and i promise to repay the loan in time.
