About Me

Am a single mother of one bouncing baby boy aged twelve years old and in class six in a nearby school. Am a resident of mtwapa and a businesswoman here in mtwapa as well. Am a hotelian by profession, having been in the hotel industry for five years now. I also work as a recieptionist in a beach hotel.I started doing business because i wanted to be financially stable. As a single mother i have all responsiblity of my family care, which with only my salary its not possible. With the earnings i get from the business i buy food for my family, pay rent and other family needs.

My Business

I have a food and beverage business situated here in mtwapa. This business is doing well and the fact that i have been in this industry for a long time, i have all it takes to make sure that this business is a success. My restaurant is situated in the heart of mtwapa where its the best business location here. In my resataurant i serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to my customers. I also have outside catering services here where i serve break fast and lunch to schools and a nearby hospital, i also serve breakfast and lunch to the nearby shops. Despite being a good business i also have risks here, like, insecurity, this is a challenge that really affects the operations of many businesses here in mtwapa. In a month i make an income of ksh 45,000 after expenses. From this income i use ksh 17,000 paying my two assistants who are really a good help to me, ksh 5,000 for my family food; ksh 3,500 paying my house rent, ksh 2,000 paying for school fees, ksh 5,000 i send to my parents back at the village.So i save ksh12,500 per month. With this i can use to repay my loan.
