About Me

Am a mother of three children, my first born is a boy aged nineteen years old and he finished his secondary education last year. the second is a boy too and is aged fifteen and in form two, the last is a boy and is twelve years and in class eight. I live with my children here in mtwapa. My education back ground is a secondary level. I have a big task, with my education i found it hard to meet my family needs, i then had to venture into business I first started with soap stone business. With this business i sell items made from soapstones. with this business i also introduced a poultry farming business. With these combined businesses i earn enough to help my family upkeep. With my income i use to pay rent, pay school fees, and also other family needs.

My Business

Am a successful businesswoman here in mtwapa. doing a combined business, i have a poultry farm and also have a soapstone business. Business in mtwapa is how you organize your business, with my combined businesses i get an income of ksh 40,000 per month. i face risks in these businesses, like low season, with the soapstone business, this affects the business as it rely on tourists, and with the poultry business, bad weather is also a challenge, because bad weather brings illness to the chicks. With the revenue i get from the two businesses i use ksh 5,000 to buy food for my family, ksh 8,000 for house rent, ksh 10,000 for school fees, i also spare ksh 5,000 for emergencies and other expenses. so i save ksh 12,000 per month which i can use to repay my zidisha loan.

Loan Proposal

hello zidisha team with this my second loan am going to use on buying of more chicken feeds. this will be able to help me because. right now i have more younger chicks that they needs to feed well. so with this amount of money am going to use it on the buying of more food stuff for the chicken so that i can able to get them feed well so that they can have the weight needed.

I phoned Judith today 2.24pm and she picked my call. She says she is still unable to repay but will start repaying. She suggested rescheduling but has problems with her password. She promised to give me a call when in Cybercafe so i help with password reset and subsequent reschedule.

Judith's Community leader, Pastor George, has just phoned me and has informed that Judith is back in Mombasa and has promised to make a repayment later today.

I phoned Judith twice today 12:10 noon and she did not pick my call. I then phoned her Community Leader, Pastor George, who told me Judith had informed him that she is away in Kericho but will return to Mombasa soon. They meet less often nowadays as Judith left his congregation months ago. However, they communicate on phone when needed.

My grandson still loves his hens. But now he prefers them inside the coop. It is the rainy season for him and he thinks the hens are ugly when they are wet. He keeps asking them to change to fluffy!

Every time I look at my list of borrowers, your name makes me happy - my first and only paid back loan! You are the proof that Zidisha is working.

    Bless you, Ann (namaste250)

Congratulations on your loan funding. Chicks are sweet when they are so little. My daughter has six chickens and my grandson loves to chase them. When the chickens get big, he cannot wait to get to get out bed in the mornings to collect the eggs.
Best wishes for health, success and prosperity, Ann
